Frihedssmuseet - The Museum of Danish Resistance 1940 - 1945 - is the part of the Danish National Museum that shows the history of the German occupation of Denmark during World War II (1940 - 1945). The museum has a large collection of things (guns, radios etc.) that were used by the Danish resistance during the occupation. The museum also tell the general history of life in Denmark during the occupation.

During the last part of the occupation some resistance groups made their own fighting vehicles from old trucks. This one actually came into battle on liberation day.

A bust in honour of Major Anders Lassen (Victory Cross) who fought with the British Special Boat Service during most of World War II.

A bust in honour of Major Anders Lassen (Victory Cross) who fought with the British Special Boat Service during most of World War II. He was killed in Italy shortly before the war ended.
