Denmark - Dybøl Mill & 1864
Battleground |
|

Dybøl Mill and the Dybøl 1864 battlegrounds still tells the
story of the huge battle between Danish and
Prussian/German forces that took place in 1864. During this battle
the Danish fortifications near the old windmill played an
essential part. Denmark lost this battle - and lost a lot of land to
Germany. Some of this land was given back to Denmark after World War
I - after a referendum in this area.
