Denmark - Dybøl 1864 Museum - 2

Denmark - Dybøl 1864 Museum
The Dybøl 1864 Museum commemorates the huge battle between Danish and Prussian/German forces that took place in 1864. During this battle the Danish fortifications near the old windmill at Dybøl played an essential part - and is today a major part of the Danish history. Denmark lost this battle - and lost a lot of land to Germany. Some of this land was given back to Denmark after World War I, when there was a referendum in this area.
