Denmark - Frøslev Prison Camp |
|

In 1943 the German World
War II occupation forces in Denmark started deporting a lot of
people (jews, communists etc.), but the Danish government managed to
get permission to build a camp in Denmark for these prisoners. This
was let to the construction of Frøslev Prison Camp on almost on the
boarder between Denmark and Germany. Today the camp also houses a
Home Guard, UN, Civil Defence and other museums.
