Denmark - Tirpitz Battery - Blåvand -

During World War II the Germans had some strong fortifications in
the Blåvand and Esbjerg area. One of these point should have been
the Tirpitz Battery, but this battery was never finished. If it had
been finished, it would have had some of the strongest guns on the
Atlantic Wall.

Inside the Tirpitz
Battery there is a small exhibition showing the man y kinds of mines
that the Germans used as a part of the Atlantic Wall idea.

Much of the interior of
the Tripitz Battery was destroyed after the war, when Danish and
British forces tried to blow up the bunker.
