The Aisne-Marne American Cemetery & Memorial is located near Belleau - north west of Château-Thierry. The cemetery contains the graves of 2,289 American war dead. Most of these soldiers fought in the area and in the Marne valley in the summer of 1918. As we passed the cemetery in the early morning hours the cemetery was closed. Therefore there are no pictures from inside the cemetery.
