Ovillers Military Cemetery - Albert - France - World War I - Memorial - European Tourist Guide - euro-t-guide.com

The Ovillers Military Cemetery is one of the larger Commonwealth war cemeteries in the Amiens/Albert area - located just north east of Albert (north of the D929 road). The cemetery was started as a battle cemetery behind a dressing station. But its size was increased a lot after the Armistice when Commonwealth and French graves where brought in from some nearby cemeteries. A total of 3,440 World War I soldiers have their grave or are commemorated at the cemetery.
