France - Battery de Crisbecq |

Battery de Crisbecq was one of the German Atlantic
Wall bunkers that saw action during D-day - 6th of June 1944. The
battery was among the strongest on the D-day coat. The battery
suffered some damage during the D-day fighting, but of of the damage
was caused by American engineers and artillery afterwards, when they
tried to blow up the bunkers.

The owners of Battery de Crisbecq is
still trying to get the bunkers more "alive", so in some of the
bunkers there are displays showing how the German soldiers lived.
