France - Merville Gun Battery - 1 |
The Merville Gun Battery is one of the places, where British paratroopers fought
one of the very important and hard battles during the D-day landing
on the 6th of
June 1944. This German battery had to be taken before the landing could
begin, as it could compromise the whole northern flank of the
invasion coast.
