Germany - Reichstag Building |
|

The Reichstag Building is one of
the most well-known landmarks in the centre of Berlin. This building
was opened in 1894 and until it was partly destroyed by fire in 1933
it saw a lot of political dramas. In 1933 the fire in the Reichstag
was used by Adolf Hitler to gain full power over the German
political system. The building was badly damaged during World War II
but is now restored and is used by the German parliament -
Bundestag. It is possible to visit the building - but be aware that
the queue can be very long.
