Germany - Dachau Concentration Camp

Dachau Concentration Camp - Germany - World War II - European Tourist Guide - euro-t-guide.com
The Dachau Concentration Camp is located just north of Munich/München.  Dachau was the first Nazi concentration camp opened in Germany. It opened on the 22 March 1933 - less than two months after Hitler taking over power. The camp was operational until 1945, when the American Army liberated the last prisoners of the camp. We unfortunately passed the camp on a Monday, where most of the camp area is closed.
