The Arnhem Oosterbeek War Cemetery holds the graves of 1,680
British and Polish soldiers that were killed during the battle of
Arnhem in September 1944 - a part of Operation "Market Garden".
245 of the burials are unidentified, 73 Polish and three
Dutch soldiers are among the soldiers
that are buried here. The cemetery is very close to the
Airborne
Museum Hartenstein.
