Stonehenge is one of the most well known prehistoric sites in the UK
- and the world. These mysterious rocks were erected around 2200 BC
but parts of the site seems to have been used as far back as 3100
BC. The area is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which ranks it
among the most important prehistoric sites in the world.
